Options

As a start, here are some of the options we often provide -

Pre-wedding Photography
This serves two purposes. We get to take some candid photos of the couple in a relaxed setting. We also get to know the couple where they are comfortable enough to share their thoughts about the wedding. Since we have experience, we can offer suggestions and ideas.

The Rehearsal
We prefer to attend the rehearsal for two reasons - first we get to meet the main participants in the ceremony and they get comfortable being photographed. Secondly - the wedding rehearsal is also our rehearsal. By being there, we get to know where to be at the right time so as to get the desired pictures at the right moment.

Wedding Day - The Bride
This could be the bride's home, her parent's home, or even a hotel room. Getting ready is as much a part of the wedding as the ceremony itself and as such the pictures are important. Of course, this includes pictures of the bride with those close to her.

Wedding day - The Groom
Typically the groom and the best man at the location of the wedding. This is the moment when most grooms realise they are about to get married, and this moment needs to be well documented in pictures.

The Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony starts when the bride arrives and continues as she walks down the isle, stands next to the groom, the wedding service begins, the vows are exchanged, the register signed and the now married couple take their exit. All through this ceremony we will be discretely taking pictures. This is where our experience shines as we have to cope with varying light conditions as well as not distract from the proceedings.

The Formal Pictures
While many couple shy away from these pictures, they are traditional and the guests expected to see them, therefore it is important to gather the wedding party and close relatives together to have these pictures taken. Then it's just the bride, the groom and the photographer.

The Reception
The formal reception line can be a little crowded and awkward when trying to photograph everyone, but we have suggestions which we are willing to share. Regardless, during the reception we will take pictures of guests, group pictures of relatives and friends.

The Banquet
Along with the banquet, there are the speeches. Taking good pictures of people while they are giving a speech takes a lot experience, but we have a lot of experience in this matter. This is followed by certain traditions - the tossing of the bouquet and the throwing of the garter - and the first dance. We'll attend the banquet to the near end or when the newly wedded couple depart.
